So the lady who put the offer on the house came back for another showing tonight. Brent and I received the new offer.
Question: Aren't offers supposed to get better? This one was worse for us than her last counter.
The offer:
- Full price
- We pay closing costs
- She has an appraiser come out. If our house is too high in price, she gets the new appraised price. If we back out, we have to pay for appraisal and inspection costs.
Ummm...what? Let's just say I've never had an easier time saying no.
Patti thinks the potential buyer really wants the house, and that it's actually the agent being an asshat about everything. So potential buyer, if you're reading this – ditch your agent. She's not doing you any favors.
